Nov 2011 - The Puyehue volcano (more than an hour out of Osorno) erupted in June 2011 before we arrived. It is still constantly spewing smoke and ash. The wind usually takes most of it over to Argentina. Once in a while the wind changes and it makes it a little hazy and flights to Osorno and Puerto Montt get postponed or cancelled.
